The 2001 race

Top 6 Highlights 
1. Ralf Schumacher - Williams Ralf Schumacher won the race thanks to the superior power of the BMW. Michael Schumacher starting from pole finished second after Ralf passed him in the pits.
Mika Hakkinen finished in 3rd after starting from 8th while Kimi Raikkonen managed to finish 4th in his debut race at Canada.
Alesi finishes in the points for the Prost team for the second race in a row.
Pedro de la Rosa finished in the points for the first time in the season.
David Coulthard starting from 3rd retired with engine problems.
Rubens Barrichello and Juan Pablo Montoya crash out of the race.

David Coulthard gets a 10-second stop-go penalty for failing to get away in time at the formation lap.
Michael Schumacher struggles towards the end of the race but Rubens Barrichello stays behind him.
The race was run under dry then wet conditions.
