Canada. A low downforce circuit that rewards big power. BMW deliver big power therefore Williams will win. Nope, sorry, Williams, or JPM anyway, will get third. I was wrong in Monaco, I'll be right here. Once again we will see a Ferrari one, two. Michael won last year's real race here and history will be repeated. This time though daylight is relegated to 4th or 5th.

Michael will outqualify Rubens and the red cars will return to the front row of the grid, unless of course Michelin can throw in another wild card. Increasingly it is becoming obvious that tyres are the real differentiators. If it's cold or wet, Bridgestone are better. Michelin are narrowing the gap though. Monaco was a clear victory for Bibendum and a hot, sunny day on Saturday may be all Juan Pablo needs to throw a spanner in Todt's works.

Of the rest, nobody will get close. Toyota, Salo at least, should do well and we will all watch with interest to see whether the new package can rescue BAR from their embarrassing situation. Look for some upsets in the middle order with Arrows, Toyota and Sauber out of order. Sauber will, with McLaren, be challenging for the third row and the lack of straight line speed will relegate Renault back a few places.

On to the interesting stuff. Massa, Raikkonen and de la Rosa will earn their miserable few shekels, Webber will not be able to keep up with the pack but will have a comfortable cushion to Yoong and Jacques will put on a display in daddies playground. Button might try to take the fight back to Trulli but I don't see it. Irvine will again concentrate on what he is going to say to the press instead of driving. While both will win their real races, Frentzen and Fisichella will again pray for rain to push them up the order. McNish did well at Monaco but I can't accept he will follow through.

Monaco put some interest back in the front order of the real races; I suspect Canada will take it away again. The Ferrari's and Williams will dominate.
