Top 6 Highlights 
1. Rubens Barrichello - Ferrari Ferrari on the Bridgestones made the right strategy call and went for a 2-stopper and won the race with ease. Rubens got the better of Michael at the start and kept the lead. After the second pit stop, the 2 settled for their positions.
Coulthard and Montoya crashed out allowing Kimi Raikkonen to move into 3rd while Ralf Schumacher lost places via the pit after leading the race at the start.
Both Jenson Button and Felipe Massa put in superb efforts to finish in the points.
Ferrari, Renault, Sauber, BAR, Arrows to finish both their cars.

The 2001 race

Top 6 Highlights 
1. Michael Schumacher - Ferrari Michael Schumacher won the race starting from Pole position. His only threat was from Ralf Schumacher who was given a 10 second stop-go penalty for crossing the white line exiting the pits!
Juan Pablo Montoya drives to second ahead of David Coulthard while Ralf Schumacher manages 4th following his penalty.
Rubens Barrichello only manages 5th as he lost 3 places at the start.
Mika Hakkinen started from 6th and finished 6th!
Michael Schumacher, Montoya and Ralf Schumacher were on 2 stops while Coulthard, Barrichello and Hakkinen were on 1 stop.
Ferrari, Williams, McLaren, Jaguar, Benetton and Prost managed to finish both their cars.
Arrows and Jordan failed to finish either of their cars.
