Hungarian GP - 2nd Friday Practice

Final Order: Michael Schumacher, Rubens Barrichello, Ralf Schumacher, Kimi Raikkonen, Giancarlo Fisichella and Takuma Sato make the top 6.
Coulthard, Massa, de la Rosa, Button, Trulli, Villeneuve, Irvine, Panis, Salo, Montoya, Heidfeld, McNish, Davidson and Webber make the rest of the field.

60 min: Ralf Schumacher moves into 3rd with a time of 1:17.228. Massa spins and crashes the second Sauber in a similar way to Heidfeld's crash!!.

59 min: Montoya spins and goes into the gravel. He is stuck there. Ralf is on a fast lap!

58 min: Olivier Panis improves in 13th with a time of 1:18.846. The first improvement for him this session!

57 min: Giancarlo Fisichella takes 4th from his team-mate Takuma Sato with a 1:17.399

56 min: Felipe Massa takes 7th from de la Rosa with a time of 1:17.704

55 min: The 2 Williams are back in 15th and 16th over 2.5 seconds off the pace??

54 min: Mika Salo improves to 14th with a time of 1:18.890. Davidson goes off but recovers.

53 min: Pedro de la Rosa improves again, now up in 7th with a time of 1:18.036. You'd expect he's running a light fuel load!

52 min: The McLarens and Williams appear to be working better here with the Michelins than the Williams'

51 min: Jenson Button moves into 8th with a time of 1:18.250.

50 min: Anthony Davidson moves back ahead of his team-mate Mark Webber with a time of 1:19.490.

48 min: Eddie Irvine takes 12th from Panis with a time of 1:18.718.

47 min: Takuma Sato continues his impressive run. He is now up in 4th with a time of 1:17.598

45 min: No improvements at this stage.

44 min: Top 10 - M Schumacher, Barrichello, Raikkonen, Fisichella, Coulthard, Sato, Massa, de la Rosa, Trulli and Villeneuve.

43 min: At this stage, the closest driver to the Ferraris is Kimi Raikkonen just under a second off the pace.

42 min: Mark Webber moves ahead of his team-mate with a time of 1:19.526. 

41 min: It is more usual to see Massa go off but this time Heidfeld was the one under pressure as he was 15th fastest while Massa was up in 7th! 

40 min: Nick Heidfeld runs wide and loses it and ends up hitting the barrier. His session is over! 

39 min: Pedro de la Rosa moves into 8th with a time of 1:18.360. 

38 min: Felipe Massa improves into 7th with a time of 1:18.051. Barrichello goes off but recovers.

37 min: But Fisichella quickly takes 4th away with a time of 1:17.631.

36 min: David Coulthard leaps into 4th with a time of 1:17.704.

35 min: Eddie Irvine finally moves from 18th into 16th and ahead of his team-mate with a time of 1:19.187

34 min: And Montoya improves again, now right behind his team-mate in 12th with a time of 1:18.961

33 min: Takuma Sato is driving impressively here. He moves into 4th with a time of 1:17.980.

32 min: Montoya appears to be struggling on this track. He has just improved his time with a 1:19.452 but is down in 16th!

31 min: Top 10 - M Schumacher, Barrichello, Raikkonen, Fisichella, Sato, Trulli, Massa, Villeneuve, Button and Panis.

30 min: Allan McNish moves back into 14th with a time of 1:19.171.

29 min: Light rain is again falling on parts of the track.

28 min: Mark Webber improves his time but remains in 20th. His time a 1:20.793.

27 min: Michael Schumacher improves at the top with a time of 1:16.346!

26 min: Raikkonen improves again with a time of 1:17.298. Michael Schumacher on a fast lap!

25 min: Takuma Sato moves into 5th with a time of 1:18.306.

24 min: And he improves with a time of 1:17.342. Still in 3rd but just over half a second off the pace. Lets hope he is not running on a light fuel load!

23 min: Kimi Raikkonen on a flyer!

22 min: And Davidson improves yet again and is under a tenth behind Irvine in 18th in the Jaguar!

21 min: Davidson takes 19th from his team-mate with a time of 1:20.707.

20 min: Top 10 - M Schumacher, Barrichello, Raikkonen, Fisichella, Trulli, Massa, Villeneuve, Button, Panis and Sato.

18 min: Davidson in 20th is now under 0.4 seconds behind Webber.

17 min: The Michelin runners appear to be closing the gap to the non-Ferrari Bridgestone runners!

16 min: Jarno Trulli jumps into 5th with a time of 1:18.360.

15 min: Allan McNish moves into 14th with a time of 1:19.604.

15 min: More spinners!, Michael Schumacher and Eddie Irvine spin but they recover.

14 min: And Ralf Schumacher spins too. He also recovers.

13 min: Coulthard spins and goes through the gravel. He seems to have suffered a puncture and is heading back to the pits!

12 min: Giancarlo Fisichella takes 4th with a time of 1:18.212.

11 min: Jenson Button moves into 7th with a time of 1:18.561.

10 min: Top 10 - M Schumacher, Barrichello, Raikkonen, Massa, Villeneuve, Fisichella, Panis, Sato, R Schumacher and Button.

9 min: Villeneuve has an off but recovers.

9 min: Jenson Button moves into 10th with a time of 1:18.993. The Michelin runners seem to be improving slightly.

8 min: Barrichello improves in second with a time of 1:16.952!

7 min: Anthony Davidson improves his time in 20th with a 1:21.436.

6 min: Kimi Raikkonen improves again into 3rd with a time of 1:17.901. He is the first non-Ferrari driver to set a time under the 1:18 mark this weekend.

5 min: Ralf Schumacher moves into 8th with a time of 1:18.954.

4 min: Kimi Raikkonen moves into 5th with a time of 1:18.437.

3 min: Takuma Sato is the first to improve this session with a 1:19.012 and that is good for 7th.

2 min: Over 10 cars are on the track. Ralf Schumacher has a small off but recovers!

1 min: The first session was dominated by Ferrari and the Bridgestone runners. It will be interesting to see how the Michelin runners will do this session.
