29 min: Takuma Sato moves into 5th with a 1:17.544

28 min: Michael Schumacher moves back to the top with a time of 1:16.726.

27 min: Ralf Schumacher spins but recovers. Michael on a flyer!

27 min: Barrichello moves back to the top of the timesheets with a 1:17.240.

26 min: And Fisichella now goes fastest with a 1:17.290. That pace is took quick, they could be planning a different strategy!

25 min: Rubens Barrichello goes fastest with a time of 1:17.424, Fisichella goes 3rd with a 1:17.481 while Ralf Schumacher moves into 4th with 1:17.909. Stunning pace from Fisichella!

24 min: Kimi Raikkonen takes 3rd from Montoya with a time of 1:17.963. Webber takes 20th from Villeneuve!

23 min: Felipe Massa is flying, he moves into 4th with a time of 1:18.055. Barrichello improves in second with a time of 1:17.569.

22 min: Mark Webber improves in 21st and just a couple of tenths behind Villeneuve in 20th!

21 min: A spin by Trulli but he recovers. He is 11th fastest at the moment.

21 min: Top 10 - M Schumacher, Barrichello, Montoya, Fisichella, Sato, Massa, Panis, de la Rosa, Coulthard and Heidfeld.

20 min: And Takuma Sato moves into 5th just behind his team-mate. It certainly looks as if the new Honda units are a big step forward. 

19 min: Juan Pablo Montoya takes 3rd away from Fisichella with a time of 1:17.972. 

18 min: Giancarlo Fisichella moves into 3rd with a time of 1:18.300. That is over 0.8 seconds off the pace! 

17 min: Juan Pablo Montoya is the only driver not to set a time yet. He is on the track now. 

16 min: Rubens Barrichello goes fastest only for Michael to take it back. Michael's new time is a 1:17.462. 

15 min: Heinz Harald Frentzen spins into the gravel but manages to keep going. He is 16th fastest at the moment.

15 min: Top 10 - M Schumacher, Barrichello, Massa, Fisichella, Panis, de la Rosa, Coulthard, Heidfeld, R Schumacher and Raikkonen.

14 min: Michael Schumacher goes fastest with a time of 1:17.774 and Barrichello moves into second with a 1:18.417. 

13 min: Massa improves in 1st with a time of 1:18.439 while Panis moves into second with a 1:18.798. Michael Schumacher on a flyer! 

12 min: Coulthard takes second with a time of 1:18.946 while Ralf improves his time and moves into 3rd with a 1:19.143. 

11 min: Felipe Massa goes fastest with a time of 1:18.705. Raikkonen moves into second with a 1:19.157 

10 min: Olivier Panis goes fastest with a time of 1:19.942. Massa on a flyer! 

9 min: Takuma Sato betters that with a 1:20.024. Enrique Bernoldi goes 3rd with a 1:20.167

8 min: Ralf Schumacher is the first to set a time today. A 1:20.158. 

7 min: Those with spare cars have pitted now and number of drivers will now start their long runs. 

5 min: Michael Schumacher pits on his second lap. Several drivers are on the track in their spare cars. 

5 min: Barrichello takes the spare car as it is allocated to him for the rest of the season now that Michael has won the drivers title. 

4 min: Michael stays out for a second lap. 

3 min: Those with spare cars allocated to them will give them a shakedown as well. 

2 min: 21 cars are taking part today after Alex Yoong failed to qualify yesterday for the 3rd time this season raising doubts about his future in F1. Michael on track.

1 min: All the drivers are on the track now except for Michael Schumacher.

Session underway and a long stream of cars goes onto the track headed by Takuma Sato.
