Congratulations to Michael Schumacher on winning a record equalling 5th World Title in stunning form with 6 races to spare!

The French Grand Prix was one of the closest we've seen this season with the top 3 teams only separated by seconds for most of the race!

A few highlights in addition to Michael clinching the title:
The stunning comeback by McLaren and the strong showing from both their drivers.
Barrichello with his misfortunes at the start for the second race in a row.
The crossing of the white line at the pit exit by a number of the top drivers!.
The struggle of Williams and particularly Juan Pablo Montoya.
Mark Webber's stunning drive to 8th.

AT LAST - some humility ( I suspect ) Williams ? nothing that a true racer wouldn't be able to cope with - Juan...who???? 
My comment regarding the Minardi stands - problem is Yoong wouldn't complete enough laps to move over for anyone !! 
By the way - looked like a VERY wide white line. Seriously though thanks for a great site - the humour is great. MS and Ferrari - truly historic - Andre' - South Africa

hey GOP, Montoya's qualifying performance is a perfect indication of his brilliance and total superiority over a mediocre Ralf. The problem in the race is that the Williams car is not well suited to the Michelin tyres and handles badly as the race progresses. We have seen that happen to Ralf too! It's just that Montoya's style of driving is more aggressive than Ralf, who is more conservative, hence Monty's equipment tends to deteriorate faster in the race. The hard tyre compound, that Montoya tends to prefer, has not proved to be a good choice yet in the races. I am sure that Williams can work towards achieving a good race-setup for Montoya without much sacrifice in qualifying performance. Besides, Williams have got to improve their pit-strategy, which continues to be dreadful as ever - Jim - USA

Way to go Kimi! Don't Let the bad luck follow you. 
I am still surprised and very confused about the strategy of Williams-BMW, particularly JPM's. He seem to be very fast, has the perfect setup and beat even a hard trying MS in the quals, much ahead of Ralf. However at the race, he is not showing any signs of that speed, and Ralf is as fast or faster. Could it be that Montoya want to showboat and using different compound and setup finish on pole, which wont help him much in the RACE? or could it be that he is so good in a single lap even MS find it impossible to beat him? 
If the first case is True, Why would Williams team allow this and why Ralf too doe snot want to do that? Any guesses? - GOP

Some great racing, the most exciting that we have seen this year. If Rubens had managed to start and achieve a second place then, even if he had won, Schumacher would not have clinched his championship. If Schumacher did not finish or finished in a lower slot with a win or a high place for Rubens then it would have extended the clinching of the championship maybe beyond the next race. Bearing in mind their previous scheming can you believe that Ferrari may have prevented Rubens from starting to give Schumacher a better shot at tying up the championship yesterday? I was sad seeing Kimi making a mistake and then losing the chances of winning his first ever F1 GP. Michael could wait till next GP for winning the championship but congratulations to him for the fifth World Championship. 
Great recovery from McLaren, I hope this will be repeated for next races. 
Rubinho was unlucky but I hope his luck changes now that MS won the championship. Last words to the crossing of the white line at the pit exit by top drivers: it's not very normal to see that happen to the top drivers but the crossing of the line by Michael give to the race another "excitement" despite the difficulty to overtake - Ana M - Portugal
