Dear Heretic, thanks for your prediction. I agree with your comments on the
new rule changes even if I didn't agree with your opinion on last year and
feel the ones who reserved a chance for last years changes were proven
right.
This year finally will see the end of competitive qualifying and there is no
benefit at all to be expected from the tyre choice on Saturday morning or the
one engine rule.
Regarding the favourites for the season it seems very tight from the start and
that means bar one thing - Michael wont be beaten and with his precision and
sensational instinct to take any advantage and to not give anything away he
will be the one with the best overall result. Other no-nerve types to follow
him will be Kimi and Fernando.
I would rather expect an upset from Rubens than from the Williamses, they will
traditionally lose out on their too balanced couple of drivers. On the other
hand, if there is a revolutionary car it has to be the Williams - but they
will need a decent advantage to find either Ralf or Juan Pablo as WC.
One thing I would not hope is a lacklustre performance like last year by
Bridgestone, may they not give away more than .2sec to the french
rubber....
Finally you seem to underestimate Ford and Nick (didn't he look at least as
good as Kimi at Sauber?) but its up to them to prove you wrong. Cheers, Tomas

I always enjoy getting mail from you.
Your views are valid and I cannot argue with them with the exception of
Ford. A judgement call on Nick is too hard to make as I do not believe that he
has a snowballs hope in that car, so we will not know how good he is until he
gets a decent drive, if ever.
