I think you hit most of it on the head. The last thing about
suspension, I noticed. But the one that I noticed that I wonder about, is the
fuel pick-up, and or loss of fuel pressure. Could this be something to do with
the idea of a full tank of fuel sitting overnight before the race ? The Heretic replies: John, I never thought of the issue that you raised on the fuel pickup problem, but you may have a valid point. Most, if not all, fuels have a tendency to absorb moisture, which then settles at the very bottom of the tank. Because of that most pickups in tanks are not at the very lowest point. Maybe F1 cars use the very last drop and are susceptible to this condensation problem. We’ll never know. This is one that they will identify and fix before the next race. Eddie is one of many drivers that has left the sport without knowing how they rate. I did not like him, but that does not mean that I do not acknowledge that he may have been a great driver. He did not stack up against Schumacher but, at the time nobody could, Michael had the team in his pocket. At Jaguar he never had a chance. Their cars were too bad for anyone to shape. He did however show enormous willingness to drive at any cost and that I do admire. Back to Top Loading
