13 January: The
Red Bull Racing team confirmed today that Günther Steiner was appointed Technical Director at the team joining Christian
Horner who took over last week as the Sporting Director of the team. Both replacing Tony Purnell and David Pitchforth
who ran Jaguar Racing. A statement by Red Bull read "The new management line-up at the Red Bull Racing
Team was completed today with Günther Steiner officially confirmed as the team's Technical Director. This follows the announcement
last week that Britain's Christian Horner, 31, had accepted the post of Sporting Director of Red Bull Racing. Steiner, 39, from
