29-Mar: Giancarlo
Fisichella sets the fastest time for the second day at Silverstone ahead of Jacques
Villeneuve and Olivier Panis. All the teams were present at the test with the exception of
Ferrari and Minardi although the teams had only one car to test with. At Fiorano, Luca Badoer continued testing the F399 concentrating on testing new components and race starts. Badoer tested in the wet and set a best time of 1:07.755. Michael Schumacher continues testing tomorrow. 29-Mar: "McLaren fast, Ferrari reliable ?" is the title of the 5th issue from the Diagnosis and Prognosis Series for the 2000 season. In this issue, the Heretic looks at the aftermath of the Brazilian GP - Check it out here !! 28-Mar: Giancarlo Fisichella sets the fastest time during the first day of testing at Silverstone followed by Olivier Panis and Jarno Trulli. The session started wet and then dried out later in the day. There were 4 teams present today (Benetton, McLaren, Jordan and Jaguar) with at least 2 teams expected to join tomorrow (BAR and Arrows) ... Timed Results At Fiorano, Luca Badoer tested the F300 (98 Ferrari) yesterday and the F399 (99 Ferrari) today and concentrated on testing new mechanical components as well as practice race starts. He set a best time of 1:01.823. Badoer continues testing at Fiorano tomorrow. 27-Mar: Several teams will be conducting a 3 day test session at Silverstone starting on the 28th of March. 27-Mar: McLaren's appeal will be heard early next week at the International Court of Appeal in Paris. The decision is expected to be announced prior to the San Marino GP on the 9th of April. 26-Mar: David Coulthard
has been disqualified from the Brazilian GP results due to a technical infringement found
on his car. His car's front wing was found to be 43 mm above the reference plane rather
than the required 50mm. McLaren will appeal this decision as they believe that this
situation has been caused by the heavy amount of bottoming and vibration at the Interlagos
circuit. Until the appeal is heard, Giancarlo Fisichella has been classified second
followed by Heinz Harald Frentzen, Jarno Trulli, Ralf Schumacher and Jenson Button to
make the top 6 finishers. 26-Mar: Michael

de la Rosa Ricardo Zonta and Gaston Mazzacane finished the race. 26-Mar: Mika Hakkinen sets the fastest time during the warmup session for the Brazilian GP only 0.005 seconds ahead of Michael Schumacher. David Coulthard was 3rd followed by Barrichello, Verstappen and Ralf Schumacher. Even though this was only a 30 minute session, it was stopped twice due to Wurz stalling at the pit exit lane and Alesi losing his rear wing. 25-Mar: The Sauber team decided to pull out of the Brazilian GP for safety reasons following Mika Salo's crash during the 2nd free practice session on Saturday which was caused by a rear wing failure. The Sauber team had no choice but to withdraw from the event as they found it unsatisfactory to analyse the problem at the track. 25-Mar: Mika Hakkinen grabs pole position ahead of team-mate David Coulthard and Michael Schumacher. Rubens Barrichello, Giancarlo Fisichella and Eddie Irvine make the top 6. Mika Hakkinen's pole time is almost 2.5 seconds faster than the pole position time here last year. Timed Results. 25-Mar: Mika Hakkinen set the fastest time during the Saturday practice sessions for the Brazilian GP ahead of Barrichello and Coulthard. Michael Schumacher was 4th followed by Trulli and Fisichella. Several drivers spun during both sessions with Jaguar. Prost and Williams suffering major problems. Mika Salo crashed heavily during the second session as he lost the rear wing ... Timed Results 24-Mar: Mika Hakkinen sets the fastest time during Friday practice sessions for the Brazilian GP ahead of Michael Schumacher and David Coulthard. Barrichello, de la Rosa and Alesi make the top 6. Hakkinen's time today was almost 0.7 seconds faster than last year's pole position time. Very impressive ... Full Report ...
